Oreoluwa, a young woman, recently opened up about her painful health journey that started back in 2016. She remembered how her mother first noticed a change in the way she walked, even though she didn’t feel any pain at the time.
Soon after, her condition worsened, and they visited the Federal Medical Center. It was there she learned that the head of her left femur had deteriorated.
Doctors explained that the only way to fix her hip was through a replacement surgery, but she would have to wait until she turned 20. At that time, Oreoluwa was only 14.
From then on, pain became a constant part of her life. She withdrew from friends and social activities, limped everywhere, and even asked younger children to run errands because walking was too painful.
Her mother supported her through all of it, helping her manage the pain and encouraging her to continue training in fashion design despite the challenges.
By 2022, when Oreoluwa turned 20, doctors confirmed she could finally have the hip replacement surgery. But just as hope returned, tragedy struck—her mother fell ill and passed away that same year.
