Gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has announced that he will spend his 44th birthday with inmates at Kirikiri Medium Security Prison in Lagos.

On his Instagram account, Bassey shared that the celebration will include a special one-day version of his famous Halleluyah Challenge.

He also revealed that he plans to lead the prisoners in a lively worship session to mark the occasion.

Bassey wrote, “Tomorrow for my birthday, I praise and celebrate with my brethren in prison,” showing his desire to share joy and worship with those behind bars.

The Halleluyah Challenge, started by Nathaniel Bassey in 2017, is a worship initiative that has become one of Africa’s biggest online prayer and worship events.

Through this challenge, thousands of believers join together each night for one hour of worship, often experiencing healing, deliverance, and prayers answered.
