Cardi B accused of assaulting female security guard during 2018 brawl at doctor’s office

Rapper Cardi B is once again making headlines after a female security guard testified in court that the star attacked her during an incident at a Los Angeles doctor’s office back in 2018.

The guard, identified as Emani Ellis, told the court that Cardi B — who was four months pregnant at the time — spat on her, insulted her with racial slurs, mocked her body, and even left her with a facial injury caused by her fingernails.

According to reports from Page Six, Ellis said she had only approached Cardi B with her phone while working at the obstetrician’s office. But the rapper allegedly got angry, thinking Ellis was trying to reveal her private appointment.

Ellis explained that after calling Cardi’s name, the rapper quickly turned around and shouted at her: “Why are you telling people you saw me?” She added that even when she tried to calm Cardi down, the situation became more heated.

The security guard also accused Cardi B of threatening to get her fired, making fun of her job, and even trying to hit her — though she missed. Ellis claimed that the cut from Cardi’s nails was so severe that she eventually needed plastic surgery.

Ellis has now taken the matter to court, suing Cardi B for assault and battery over the incident.

So far, Cardi B’s representatives have not released any statement on the case.
