Wolves submit €20m bid for Super Eagles Midfielder Christantus Uche

English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a €20 million offer to sign Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche from Getafe as they look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on X, saying: “Wolves have sent an official €20 million bid to Getafe for Christantus Uche. Negotiations are ongoing as #WWFC want to bring in a new striker soon.”

Although Romano mentioned Uche as a potential striker, the 22-year-old is primarily a midfielder. He is known for combining strong defensive work with creative attacking ability.

Uche joined Getafe from Spanish club Ceuta last summer and quickly became an important player. He scored four goals in 33 league appearances and was key in Getafe’s 2-0 win over Celta Vigo, scoring a goal, providing an assist, and earning Man of the Match honors.

His impressive performances have drawn attention from several European clubs, but Wolves are currently leading the race. The club hopes he will bring more creativity and depth to their midfield.

If the transfer is completed, it will be Uche’s first move to the Premier League and will add to the growing list of Nigerian internationals making their mark in England’s top flight.
