Ondo Police investigate motorcyclist found de@d inside a well

The Ondo State Police Command has launched an investigation after the body of a commercial motorcyclist, identified as Isah Ibrahim, was discovered inside a well at Ore Stadium in Odigbo Local Government Area.

According to the police spokesperson, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade, Ibrahim had been reported missing since August 17 before his remains were later found in the well.

Mr. Adebowale Razaq, the Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, has ordered a thorough investigation to uncover the cause of Ibrahim’s death and ensure that those responsible face justice.

“We appeal to everyone to stay calm while the investigation is ongoing. The police will get to the root of this matter, and the perpetrators will be punished by law,” Ayanlade assured.

Reports indicate that Ibrahim’s disappearance was first noticed on August 17. His fellow riders had searched different parts of Ore in hopes of finding him, but it was not until Thursday that his body was finally discovered inside the well.

One of the motorcyclists, who spoke anonymously, revealed that Ibrahim’s Bajaj motorcycle has still not been found, raising strong suspicion of foul play.

He suggested that Ibrahim might have fallen victim to motorcycle theft, a crime that has recently been on the rise in the area.

“We are calling on the police and other security agencies to go after these criminals, arrest them, and provide a lasting solution to the insecurity in Ore. Our lives are no longer safe,” the motorcyclist added.
