Hilda Baci Moves To Set Another Record, Aims To Cook The Largest Pot Of Jollof Rice Ever

Nigerian culinary star Hilda Baci is preparing for another incredible feat—she plans to cook the largest pot of Nigerian Jollof rice ever.

In a recent Instagram post, Hilda shared that she will use a massive pot measuring six meters wide and six meters tall for this ambitious attempt.

She revealed that this goal has been her dream for the past two years and expressed excitement that it is finally coming true.

Baci explained that this event is not just about cooking; it’s a lively festival meant to celebrate Nigerian culture, music, and community togetherness.

The cooking event is scheduled for September 12, 2025, at Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos.

“After the 2023 Hilda Baci cookathon made waves worldwide, this year we focus on Jollof, the heart of West African cuisine,” she said.

She added, “It’s not just about food—it’s about our story, culture, and music. We are making history, and I want everyone to witness it. Two years ago, I dreamed of cooking the largest pot of Nigerian Jollof rice, and now, with Gino by my side, that dream is becoming real.”

Hilda first gained fame in May 2023 when she broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Later in November 2023, Irish chef Alan Fisher surpassed her record, but Hilda continues to make waves in the culinary world.
