Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has reacted to Big Brother Naija star Uriel Oputa’s comments following the death of her uncle, veteran actor Fabian Adibe.

Uriel had earlier criticized entertainers for failing to check on Adibe before his passing, saying that many ignored him during his last days.

The veteran actor died on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after a brief illness, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.

Despite her criticism, Uriel noted that she was still thankful to friends who supported her late uncle during his final moments.

Etinosa, however, disagreed with Uriel’s remarks. In a post on Instagram, she explained that Adibe’s colleagues and fans have every right to mourn him, even if they did not visit him while he was sick.

According to her, grief should not be a reason to attack others. She emphasized that people show love in different ways and that tributes after death should not always be seen as “fake love.”

Etinosa also reminded Uriel that everyone has personal struggles and may not always have the time or strength to check on others. She added that even Adibe himself did not constantly reach out to colleagues when he was alive.

She urged Uriel to let people express their sadness freely, stressing that life is full of challenges. Etinosa ended her note with sincere condolences to Uriel and her family.
