Everyone would watch’ – Evra predicts Ronaldo vs Messi World Cup final

Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has made a bold prediction that the next World Cup final could see Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo face each other.

This would mean Argentina, led by Messi, going up against Portugal, captained by Ronaldo, in a historic showdown.

Even though both stars are nearing the end of their careers, they are still seen as two of the greatest players in football today.

Messi now plays for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer, while Ronaldo features for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

Messi already lifted the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, but Ronaldo is yet to take Portugal to a final in the competition.

Both players are expected to be part of the next World Cup, which begins next summer, and for many fans it could be their last appearance on football’s biggest stage.

Evra, speaking with Stake.com, compared the idea of Messi and Ronaldo meeting in the final to a blockbuster movie, calling it the ultimate ending. He said it would be like the last Marvel film, a moment where the whole world would stop to watch.

The former defender added that if this clash happened, it would be “two legends, one last dance,” a game no football fan would want to miss.

Messi and Ronaldo are widely regarded as two of the best players in football history, and a World Cup final between them would be the perfect farewell to their legendary rivalry.
