A 22-year-old Nigerian couple, Mustapha and Rofiyat, recently tied the knot and are addressing questions about their age.

Rofiyat shared beautiful photos with her husband on Facebook on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

She wrote in the caption, “Leadership is not by age. It’s your vision and commitments,” defending their decision.

The couple officially got married in July 2025 in Kogi State.

Their marriage has caused conversations about what the right age for marriage should be.

While many people congratulated and supported the couple, some others think they might be too young to handle the responsibilities of marriage fully.
