‘We’ll ignore you for now, just focus on Barça’ – Gary Neville replies Rashford

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has advised Marcus Rashford to stop criticising his former club and instead give full attention to improving his football at Barcelona.

Rashford, who was sent out on another loan this season, joined Barcelona on a year-long deal. Speaking recently on The Rest is Football podcast, the England forward complained that United sack managers too easily.

According to him, this constant change has been a major problem at Old Trafford. He also suggested that United should learn from Liverpool and Manchester City, who give their managers enough time to make changes and succeed.

When asked on Sky Sports about Rashford’s remarks, Neville dismissed the comments. He explained that Rashford had already spent a decade at Old Trafford and had the chance to make an impact. The former defender stressed that the focus should now be on the future rather than the past.

In Neville’s words, “Let’s ignore that, because I don’t want to go into Marcus Rashford comments tonight. He was there at the club for 10 years and had his opportunity to impact the club.

Ruben Amorim, this year, I think will do a good job. Marcus should concentrate on Barcelona.”

Since his senior debut in 2016, Rashford has played under five different Manchester United managers: Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Erik ten Hag, and Ruben Amorim.

Neville believes the best thing for the forward now is to give his best for Barcelona instead of looking back at United’s troubles.
