Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, better known as Terry G, has slammed American music magazine Billboard for leaving out his songs in its recently released Top 50 “Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time” list.
The list crowned 2Face’s hit “African Queen” as number one. Other tracks that made the list include Timaya’s “Dem Mama,” Weird MC’s “Ijoya,” and Olu Maintain’s “Yahooze.”
Fans noticed that some of Terry G’s most popular songs, such as “Akpako Master,” “Free Madness,” and “Run Mad,” were not included in the ranking.
Reacting to a post by Chart Data about “African Queen” topping the list, Terry G said he felt “robbed.” His brief message read: “TERRY G robbed.”
The singer’s reaction sparked mixed opinions online. While some fans agreed he should have been on the list, others argued that his songs could not compete with “African Queen” for the top spot.
