Activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has proposed that DNA testing should be required before birth certificates are issued for newborns in Nigeria. He believes this step could help reduce cases of paternity fraud.

In a message shared on X, Adeyanju called on the National Assembly to consider introducing a law that would make DNA tests compulsory for every child before registration.
