Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has shared how the passing of his good friend and frequent music partner, Mohbad, deeply affected him and changed the way he sees life.

During a recent live session with TikToker Joblaq, Bella Shmurda admitted that he is now in a phase of self-discovery following the loss of his friend.

He said the experience has made him approach life with more clarity and understanding.

“Rest in peace, Mohbad. After he passed away, it felt like my mind got a complete reset. Everything feels different now, including how I view life,” he said.

Bella Shmurda added that his current perspective reminds him of lessons his parents used to give him when he was younger.

“There’s something our parents used to tell us when we misbehaved: ‘You’ll understand someday.’ I feel like I’m finally reaching that stage where I truly understand,” he explained.

For context, Mohbad passed away on 12 September 2023 under circumstances that sparked controversy and widespread discussion in Nigeria.
