Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade is close to completing a move to French women’s football giants Paris Saint-Germain, according to INFOLAND.

The 24-year-old became a free agent in June after her contract with Spanish Liga F side Atletico Madrid expired.

Her arrival will make her the second Nigerian player in PSG’s squad, alongside midfielder Jennifer Echegini, who is already an important member of the team.

Although Ajibade was also linked with some Major League Soccer clubs, PSG are believed to have won the race for her signature.

Last month, she captained the Super Falcons to their 10th Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco.

Her impressive performance earned her the Best Player award at the tournament.
