President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja for a visit to Japan and Brazil, accompanied by ministers, special advisers, and other government officials. He will first make a stop in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before heading to Japan.
In Yokohama, he is set to attend the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) from August 20 to 22. During the conference, he will participate in plenary sessions, hold bilateral meetings, and meet with CEOs of Japanese companies that have investments in Nigeria.
After concluding the TICAD9 conference, President Tinubu will travel to Brasilia, Brazil, for a two-day state visit from August 24 to 25, following an invitation from Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
While in Brazil, he will hold a bilateral meeting with President Lula and attend a business forum to engage with Brazilian investors interested in Nigeria.
