Afrobeats star Davido has honored his late friend and fellow musician, Sound Sultan, in the music video for his popular song 10 Kilo.

Directed by Director Pink, the video shows scenes featuring a banner with Sound Sultan’s picture while plus-size models dance in front of it.

Davido’s song, 10 Kilo, celebrates plus-size women, similar to Sound Sultan’s hit track Orobo, which also highlighted and praised fuller-figured women.

Back in 2013, Sound Sultan released a remix of Orobo featuring Flavour, and the song became a major hit across Nigeria and West Africa.

Since Sound Sultan passed away from cancer in July 2021, many Nigerian artists, including 2Face, Burna Boy, Spyro, Sean Tizzle, and others, have paid tribute to him on different occasions.

Sound Sultan is remembered as one of the pioneers of modern Afrobeats, with popular songs like Jagabantis, Natural Something, Ole, Kokose, Orobo, and Very Good Bad Guy helping to grow the genre.
