Ex-Buhari’s minister, Audu Ogbeh is dead

Former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, has died at the age of 78. He passed away on Saturday.

In a statement released by his family, they confirmed that the respected elder statesman died peacefully.

“It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Chief Audu Ogbeh. He passed away on August 9, 2025, at the blessed age of 78,” the statement read.

The family described him as a man who lived with honesty and dedication, serving both the nation and his community with commitment.

They said Ogbeh touched many lives and left behind a worthy example for others to follow.

Funeral details will be announced later, the family stated, while appreciating the prayers, support, and kind words from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers.

They also requested privacy as they mourn the passing of their patriarch.
