Afrobeats singer Oxlade recently shared that he learned how to truly compose music from his fellow artist, Fireboy DML.
Oxlade, known for his hit song ‘Kulosa,’ explained that Fireboy played a huge role in shaping his music during the early days of his career. He said having Fireboy as a mentor was a turning point for him.
He also praised Fireboy’s songwriting skills, saying no one in the Nigerian music industry can match Fireboy when it comes to writing lyrics.
Oxlade added that Fireboy was far ahead of him at the time and taught him how to create real music before he found his own unique sound.
He said Fireboy’s support and guidance were life-changing, and he’s grateful for the impact it had on his journey.
