NCAA blacklists fuji musician, K1 De Ultimate

Popular Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, better known as K1 De Ultimate, has been blacklisted by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over claims of violating airport security rules.

According to Michael Achimugu, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection for the NCAA, an investigation is currently ongoing to determine the full details of the incident.

Earlier this week, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced that it had started looking into the musician’s behaviour during a boarding process at the Abuja airport, which reportedly caused delays and interruptions to scheduled flights.

Reports suggest the musician tried to board Flight VK201 headed to Lagos from Abuja on Tuesday, while carrying a golden flask with contents that were not clearly identified.

When airport staff asked to check the flask, K1 De Ultimate allegedly refused to cooperate, insisting they had no right to inspect it.

Eyewitnesses claim the singer was seen drinking from the flask. The staff believed it might contain alcohol, which is not allowed on flights in Nigeria. Because of this, he was denied access to board the plane, which led to a confrontation and what officials are calling a security breach.
