Veteran Nollywood actor Francis Duru has shared a touching message in memory of his son, Ifeanyi, who passed away exactly one year ago.

Ifeanyi died on August 7, 2024, just a few months after turning 15. Marking the painful anniversary, Francis took to Instagram to express his deep sorrow and love for his son.

He said it has been a whole year since Ifeanyi slipped away from them, and though time has passed, the pain still remains. Losing him has left a huge space in their hearts that no one else can fill.

Francis called his son a “sweet soul” and said it still hurts to accept that he’s no longer here. Despite the sadness, he added that God’s grace has been carrying them through the difficult days.

Even though the loss is painful, Francis said they have chosen not to mourn but to remember the love his son gave and left behind. He spoke fondly about how Ifeanyi brought joy, laughter, and brightness into their lives.

He ended the tribute by calling his son a champion and expressing endless love that will never fade. His message was filled with pain, but also with pride and gratitude for having had such a beautiful soul in their lives.
