After a period of intense rainfall, parts of the Ikorodu area in Lagos have been flooded, forcing residents to come up with creative ways to move around their community.

To avoid getting stuck or falling into the dirty water, some locals were seen forming a human line. They moved slowly and carefully to help each other cross the flood without injury.

A photo shared online showed the tough situation clearly. In the image, men and women—some carrying bags—were seen taking careful steps around and across the deep, muddy water.

The heavy rain has caused serious disruptions in the area, and residents are urging authorities to step in with lasting solutions to the recurring flooding.
