RB Leipzig midfielder Xavi Simons has been noticeably missing from his team’s training sessions lately.

Reports say that Simons is purposely skipping training because he wants to join Chelsea before the summer transfer window closes. He has also taken a bold step by deleting all mentions of RB Leipzig from his Instagram bio, showing he’s serious about leaving.

The 22-year-old midfielder was absent from training on Friday, and it looks like he won’t be turning up on Saturday either.

Sources say Chelsea and Leipzig are already in serious talks, and the deal might be close to being completed.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the situation in a post on X. He said Simons didn’t train with the team on Friday and won’t be part of Saturday’s session either. Romano pointed out that Simons’ recent social media changes show that he’s focused on a move to Chelsea. Talks between both clubs are already in advanced stages.
