The police have rescued six law students who were kidnapped while traveling from Anambra State to Adamawa State. The students, who attend the Yola Campus, were abducted on July 26, 2025.
The incident happened late at night along a dangerous route that cuts through Wukari in Taraba State and parts of Benue State. That area has a history of security issues.
According to a statement from the Benue State Police spokesperson, Edet Udeme, the students were safely rescued and reunited with their families on the morning of August 1, 2025.
The police have assured the public that they remain committed to protecting lives and property, and will keep working to ensure the safety of everyone in the region.
