Arsenal and Tottenham have confirmed their starting lineups for their preseason match, giving fans a taste of what to expect this coming season.
Arsenal’s new striker, recently signed for £63.5 million from Sporting, might make his debut today. However, for this match, manager Mikel Arteta decided to go with Kai Havertz leading the attack. He also made five changes from the team that played against Newcastle.
Jakub Kiwior has replaced Riccardo Calafiori in the centre-back role and will partner with William Saliba in defence.
The midfield sees Declan Rice, Christian Norgaard, and captain Martin Odegaard stepping in to take over from Ethan Nwaneri, Martin Zubimendi, and Mikel Merino.
On the left wing, Gabriel Martinelli has returned to the starting eleven, taking the spot of Leandro Trossard.
Vicario will be in goal, with Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, and Spence in the back line. In midfield, Bentancur, Sarr, and Bergvall are selected. Up front, Kudus, Richarlison, and Odobert will lead the attack.
Raya starts as goalkeeper. The defence includes White, Kiwior, Saliba, and Lewis-Skelly. In midfield, Rice, Norgaard, and Odegaard are in action. The attack features Saka on the right, Havertz in the centre, and Martinelli on the left.
Both teams are using this match to test different players and prepare for the new season. Fans will be watching closely to see how the players perform, especially new signings and youngsters.
