Burna Boy performs during England Women’s Euro trophy parade

Popular Nigerian singer Burna Boy performed at the trophy celebration for the England Women’s football team after their European Championship win.

The event took place at Beckingham Palace on Tuesday, where the Lionesses were honoured after beating Spain in a thrilling final match. The game ended 1-1, but England won 3-1 in the penalty shootout to keep their European title.

During the celebration, Burna Boy joined the team on stage and sang his popular song “For My Hand” which features British singer Ed Sheeran. The performance brought excitement to the crowd and got both the players and fans dancing and singing along.

England’s coach Sarina Wiegman and the rest of the team were seen enjoying Burna Boy’s energetic show. Over 100,000 fans gathered at the event to celebrate with the team.

This isn’t Burna Boy’s first major international performance. In 2023, he became the first African artist to perform at the UEFA Champions League final. He shared the stage with Brazilian pop singer Anitta at the opening show before the final match.
