WAFCON 2024: Morocco not afraid of Super Falcons – Vilda

Morocco’s women’s team coach, Jorge Vilda, says his team is not scared of facing Nigeria’s Super Falcons.

The two teams will play each other in the final match of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) this Saturday. The game will take place at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.

Morocco wants to win the trophy for the first time. They will play in front of their home fans and hope to make history.

Nigeria is the most successful team in the tournament’s history. The Super Falcons have won the WAFCON title nine times and are known to be one of the strongest teams in Africa.

So far in this year’s competition, Nigeria has scored 11 goals and only let in one. They also have some of the best female footballers on the continent.

Even with Nigeria’s strong record, Coach Vilda says his players are not afraid to face them.

During a press conference in Rabat on Friday, he praised Nigeria’s improvement in the tournament and how they’ve managed to beat difficult opponents. However, he made it clear that Morocco will not feel less than them when they step on the pitch.
