Peter Obi, who ran for president under the Labour Party, is grieving the death of Clarita Ogar. She was the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives seat representing Yala/Ogoja Federal Constituency in Cross River during the 2023 elections.
He posted about her passing on his official X account on Friday. Obi said he felt really sad hearing the news and described her death as coming too soon.
Obi explained that he had recently contacted her family and that was when he found out she had passed away.
He said Clarita was a strong and patriotic woman who always fought for fairness and wanted a better country for everyone.
Obi prayed for her to rest in peace and asked God to comfort her family and everyone else who is mourning her loss.
