Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres has been granted permission to travel and complete his medical tests with Arsenal.

Both clubs have finalized the legal side of the deal and agreed on all terms. This means Gyokeres is just a few steps away from officially becoming an Arsenal player.

Top football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on Thursday through a post on his X account.

Romano shared that all documents have been approved and exchanged between Arsenal and Sporting. He added that Gyokeres has been formally allowed to travel for medicals, which are expected to happen within 24 hours.

According to Romano, the Swedish striker will be unveiled soon.

Once everything is finalized, Gyokeres will join Mikel Arteta and the rest of the Arsenal squad on their pre-season trip to Asia. This will give him a chance to bond with his new teammates before the new Premier League season begins.
