Atalanta are waiting for Inter Milan to come back with a better offer for their top player, Ademola Lookman.
The club had earlier rejected a €40 million bid from Inter Milan. They believe Lookman is worth more and are asking for around €50 million.
Lookman is not just any player—he is the current African Footballer of the Year, and Atalanta feel he should be valued accordingly.
Even though both clubs haven’t agreed on a fee, Inter Milan have already settled personal terms with Lookman, who used to play for Leicester City in the English Premier League.
Reports from Italy suggest Inter may soon increase their offer by €2 million to €3 million in hopes of closing the deal.
Meanwhile, Lookman is very interested in moving to Inter Milan. He even turned down a chance to join Napoli, the current Serie A champions, because he prefers to play at the San Siro.
