A young Nigerian woman, Kuyikabasi Patrick, sadly passed away in a car accident just two days before her planned birthday party.

Kuyikabasi was excited about turning a year older and had already made plans to celebrate her birthday on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

She had invited her friends to the event through WhatsApp and Facebook, hoping to have a joyful time with them.

Unfortunately, her life was cut short after she was involved in a fatal road accident on Monday, July 22.

One of her close friends, Ceedar Inee, shared emotional words and photos of Kuyikabasi online on the day she was supposed to celebrate her birthday. In the post, Ceedar expressed deep sorrow and wished Kuyikabasi peace in the afterlife.

Ceedar said she was heartbroken and in tears. She remembered the last time they saw each other and how Kuyikabasi had talked about their hopes and dreams. She wished she had hugged her longer that day.

She also mentioned how Kuyikabasi would always call her “sister” and encouraged her by saying they would succeed in life together. Now, all those dreams feel lost.

Ceedar said she keeps listening to Kuyikabasi’s voice notes and crying, struggling to accept the reality of her friend’s sudden passing.

She ended the post by praying that Kuyikabasi’s soul finds peace and rest, even though the pain is still fresh and hard to bear.
