Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, a former Minister of Transportation and now a leader in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has declared his plan to stop President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from getting a second term in office.
Amaechi made this known on Wednesday, July 23, while speaking to his supporters at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
He said he is tired of the current government and blamed President Tinubu for the increased hardship Nigerians are facing every day.
“I’m tired of this government. If a rich person is spending N4 million on electricity, imagine what ordinary people are going through,” he said, according to Vanguard.
Amaechi also encouraged people in Rivers State to register with the ADC. He said it’s time to stop electoral fraud and return power to the people.
“We must put an end to result-writing in Rivers State. Go and register with the ADC so we can change the system,” he urged.
