Chelsea defender, Tosin Adarabioyo visits Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu

Tosin Adarabioyo, a defender who plays for English football club Chelsea, visited the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday.

His visit was part of the activities planned before a youth football tournament taking place on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena. The event is being held in his honour to celebrate his achievements in football.

Adarabioyo is currently in Nigeria and included the visit to the governor as part of his homecoming trip.

After the meeting, Governor Sanwo-Olu shared photos and videos from the visit on his Instagram page. He used the opportunity to praise the footballer.

The governor said, “Tosin Adarabioyo, who plays for Chelsea, stopped by to visit while he’s in Nigeria.” He went on to say that it’s always encouraging to see young Nigerians achieving great things internationally, yet still staying connected to their roots.

Tosin Adarabioyo recently celebrated a major win with Chelsea. He was part of the team that lifted the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in the United States after beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final.

The footballer’s visit and the upcoming youth tournament have added excitement to his time in Nigeria, inspiring many young players across the country.
