Chelsea has announced that their young defender Caleb Wiley will spend the new season on loan at Watford.
The Premier League club made the news public in an official statement released on Tuesday.
Wiley, who is 20 years old, is no stranger to Watford. He played there during the second half of last season, appearing in 10 matches for the Championship side.
The United States international joined Chelsea in July 2024 from Major League Soccer club Atlanta United.
After representing the U.S. at the Olympic Games in Paris last summer, Wiley stayed in France for a loan spell with Ligue 1 team RC Strasbourg.
While at Strasbourg, he made six appearances before moving to Watford again in February to finish the 2024/25 season.
Chelsea’s statement wished him well, saying they look forward to supporting him throughout his loan spell.
