Popular Nigerian activist, Omoyele Sowore, has revealed the identity of the person who allegedly stole his smart glasses during a protest in Abuja.

On Monday, Sowore led a peaceful demonstration with retired police officers at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters. The protest was aimed at demanding better pension benefits for the retirees.

After the protest ended, Sowore noticed that his Ray-Ban AI-powered smart glasses had gone missing. A video later showed someone reaching for the glasses and removing them from his face.

By Tuesday, Sowore took to his Facebook page to claim that the person who took his glasses is Aku Victor Chiemere. According to him, Victor works as a cameraman under the police spokesperson, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi.

Sowore called out both Victor and CSP Adejobi in his post, saying the glasses were stolen during the protest at the police headquarters in Abuja. He said the theft was not just a crime but a shameful act carried out by someone under the command of a senior police officer.

He also demanded the immediate return of his glasses. Sowore wants both men to face charges for theft, conspiracy, and misuse of their official positions.
