Sporting CP is making serious moves in the summer transfer market. The Portuguese club is currently in advanced talks with Almeria to sign striker Luis Javier Suárez.

According to popular football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the negotiations between the two clubs have moved quickly in recent hours. Romano also said that the deal is almost complete, and both clubs expect to finalise the remaining details this week. Suárez, who is 27 years old, could soon become a Sporting player.

Meanwhile, Manchester City is working on a big transfer move of their own. The Premier League club is preparing a €60 million offer, including add-ons, to sign Porto’s goalkeeper Diogo Costa. This is according to a report from Maisfutebol.

City is looking to bring in a new goalkeeper because Ederson, their current number one, is being linked with a possible move to Turkish club Galatasaray. If Ederson leaves, Costa could be his replacement.

However, Manchester City is not alone in the race. French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing the Portuguese shot-stopper. This could lead to a transfer battle between the two big clubs.

After missing out on the Premier League title to Liverpool last season, Manchester City is determined to improve Pep Guardiola’s squad this summer and come back stronger.
