Popular Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold recently posted an old photo that surprised many Nigerians, as it showed a very different version of the star.

He uploaded the picture on X and said it was taken in 2005—about 20 years ago.

In the image, Adekunle Gold is seen sitting beside a small wooden kiosk, located across from Laspotech. He looked like he was asleep, resting his head on the kiosk’s frame.

This old image is very different from how he looks now. Today, he is a famous and successful singer, married to fellow artist, Simi.

Some people on X doubted the photo was really him, but others thanked God for how far he has come. It was later confirmed that it was indeed a younger Adekunle Gold in the photo.
