Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen is close to making his move to Galatasaray permanent. The Turkish football champions have paid €40 million to Napoli for the first part of the transfer deal.
According to trusted football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray and Napoli are finalizing the remaining details to complete the full transfer of the 26-year-old striker.
The full deal includes another €35 million that Galatasaray will pay to Napoli next year, bringing the total transfer fee to €75 million.
Romano also revealed that Napoli added a special clause to the agreement. This clause prevents Galatasaray from selling Osimhen to any Italian club for the next two years. This move is likely to avoid strengthening their rivals in Serie A.
While most of the deal is nearly complete, the final paperwork and a sell-on clause are still being discussed between both clubs.
Osimhen spent the entire last season on loan at Galatasaray and has made it clear that he wants to stay. He enjoyed his time in Turkey and helped the team succeed on the pitch.
Despite receiving a massive offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, the Nigerian striker chose to stay at Galatasaray, showing his loyalty and commitment to the Turkish side.
Osimhen’s move is one of the biggest in Turkish football this year and could bring more attention to the Turkish Super lig.
