A political group in the South East, known as the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has launched its Anambra State chapter to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The launch event happened in Awka on Saturday. It drew a large crowd of supporters and stakeholders from different parts of the state, showing a fresh effort to build stronger support for President Tinubu in the region.
Speaking at the event, the National Coordinator of SERHA, Professor Frank Anaeto, encouraged members to work hard at the community level. He asked them to mobilize people but always obey the law while doing so.
He explained that SERHA is not a political party. Instead, it is a movement that supports the continuity of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He made it clear that the group is only backing President Tinubu for re-election. He urged members to engage with others, listen to different views, but always stay focused on their main goal.
Professor Anaeto also praised the state leadership of SERHA, especially the Anambra chapter chairman, Alphonsus Chukwukwudum Monagolu. He described Monagolu as a proactive leader who has shown great vision in organizing the group.
As part of their community outreach, SERHA gave out cash grants to over 1,000 beneficiaries across the state. They also donated a shuttle bus to the Anambra chapter to help with transportation and other outreach activities.
In his own speech, the Anambra State chairman, Monagolu, thanked President Tinubu for the progress made in youth empowerment, economic development, and inclusive governance. He said Tinubu’s achievements should be recognized and supported.
Monagolu said the movement is their way of giving back and sharing the message of hope across every community in the state. He added that with Tinubu’s second term, the South East region would have a stronger voice in national matters.
