Fenerbahce’s head coach, Jose Mourinho, has said he plans to return to Portugal, but only when he’s still at the top of his coaching career.

He made this statement after Fenerbahce won a friendly match against Portimonense, 2-1. The game was played in Albufeira, a city in Portugal.

At 62 years old, Mourinho has just one more year left on his contract with the Turkish club.

While speaking with Sport TV, Mourinho said he will return to Portugal someday, but not because he wants to retire quietly.

He explained, “I will surely come back to Portugal. It hasn’t happened yet, but I know it will.”

Mourinho also made it clear that he doesn’t see himself retiring soon. He believes he still has the energy and strength to continue coaching.

“I don’t want to come back to Portugal just to retire. I want to return while I’m still doing well in my career, healthy, and mentally sharp,” he added. “I will definitely come back.”
