Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen is now officially a player for Galatasaray. This news was shared by Turkish sports commentator Zeki Uzundurukan while talking about the club’s recent transfer moves.
According to Uzundurukan, Galatasaray has completed Osimhen’s permanent transfer from Napoli. He also revealed that the club has reached agreements with two more players, one of whom is a goalkeeper. These new signings will be announced soon.
Uzundurukan explained that Osimhen never considered moving to Saudi Arabia, even though other offers came his way. From the beginning, he had his heart set on joining Galatasaray.
He praised Galatasaray’s president, Dursun Özbek, for handling the transfer so well. Uzundurukan said that even if another Turkish club had €150 million, they might not have been able to get a deal like this done.
The commentator also mentioned that some people tried to stop the transfer, but Osimhen stood his ground and stayed committed. Thanks to his determination and the club’s efforts, the deal was completed.
Uzundurukan confirmed that Osimhen has now arrived in Turkey, and the club is ready to introduce the two additional signings soon.
Earlier, Galatasaray’s vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu also spoke about the deal. He said people should not doubt the club’s ability to sign a top player like Osimhen.
Kavukcu added that Osimhen really wanted to join Galatasaray and even turned down huge offers from other clubs just to make it happen.
Before the announcement, Galatasaray and Napoli had already settled financial terms like payment plans and bank guarantees, making the transfer smooth and official.
