‘There’ll be no stopping us’ – PDP vows to expel Wike from party

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that it may soon remove Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), from the party.

According to Ibrahim Abdullahi, the PDP’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, the party has formed a committee to look into complaints against Wike. He is being accused of working against the party.

Abdullahi said that many PDP members now feel the party would be better off without Wike, who used to be the Governor of Rivers State.

He explained that the PDP will not allow anyone to hold it back. He added that if someone is no longer useful to the party, they can leave.

During an interview on Arise News, Abdullahi said Wike is still a member of the PDP officially, but his actions seem to be hurting the party.

He said that people who work against the PDP’s success should no longer be part of the party. Removing such people will help the PDP become stronger again.

He stated clearly that Wike can leave if he’s not helping the PDP. Some members even believe the party would be stronger without him.

The PDP believes that one person alone cannot bring down the party. That’s why the party has set up a committee to handle such cases.

The committee is still reviewing petitions, and Wike’s name is mentioned in several of them. Once the panel finishes its review, the PDP will take action and remove any members found guilty of anti-party behavior.

In a related development, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who ran for president twice under the PDP, announced earlier this week that he has left the party.
