President Tinubu appoints IBB’s son as Head of the newly restructured Bank of Agriculture

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Muhammad Babangida, the son of former military leader Ibrahim Babangida, to head the newly restructured Bank of Agriculture. This decision was part of several appointments approved by the President on July 18. A total of eight individuals were selected to take leadership roles in different federal agencies.

Lydia Kalat Musa from Kaduna State has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority (OGFZA). Jamilu Wada Aliyu from Kano State will serve as the Chairman of the National Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC). Also from Kano State, Hon. Yahuza Ado Inuwa has been named the new Chairman of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON).

Sanusi Musa (SAN), also from Kano State, is now the Chairman of the Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR). Prof. Al-Mustapha Alhaji Aliyu from Sokoto State has been made the Director-General of the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa (DTCA). Sanusi Garba Rikiji from Zamfara State will now head the Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations (NOTN) as its Director-General.

Mrs. Tomi Somefun from Oyo State is the new Managing Director of the National Hydro-Electric Power Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC). Lastly, Dr. Abdulmumini Mohammed Aminu-Zaria from Kaduna State has been named the Executive Director of the Nigerian Integrated Water Resources Management Commission (NIWRMC).
