Lere Olayinka, who speaks for Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has fired back at Senator Ireti Kingibe over her recent statements. Senator Kingibe represents the FCT in the National Assembly and recently accused Wike of wrongdoing in land matters.
During a new interview on Arise TV, Senator Kingibe said Wike gave some plots of land in Abuja to his sons. She also claimed he slashed land title fees from N200 million to just N2 million within two days. Kingibe said she has documents to support these claims and called Wike’s actions both unfair and unethical.
Reacting to this, Olayinka took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to criticize Kingibe. He said that anyone who truly has evidence should submit it to the public or proper authorities, instead of making such serious accusations on national television.
He wrote
‘’Responsible and serious people don’t go on National TV to say “I have evidence of corruption by Govt officials,” they display whatever evidence they have, release them to the public and forward same to relevant anti-corruption agencies.
That Accidental Senator, Ireti (alias Kingibe), who is impersonating by bearing the name of a man she is no longer married to should go back to the TV station and display the documents she claimed to have on the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Like I have said, the Senate seat she got accidentally in 2023 won’t be retained in 2027, using Wike as a launchpad. The earlier she knows and accept this, the better for Madam Impersonator.”
