Italian football club Atalanta has rejected Inter Milan’s first offer of €40 million for their Nigerian attacker, Ademola Lookman.
Well-known transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Atalanta is not ready to sell Lookman for that amount. They are demanding at least €50 million before they will consider letting him go.
Romano shared on X (formerly Twitter) that Inter Milan officially contacted Atalanta with their opening offer, but the response was firm—€40 million is not enough.
Meanwhile, Lookman has made it clear he wants to leave Atalanta this summer. He hopes the club will support his decision to move. However, Atalanta is still holding their ground and doesn’t want to accept a lower offer, especially not from another club in Italy.
The 27-year-old Nigerian star had a great season with Atalanta. He helped them win the UEFA Europa League by scoring three goals in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.
If Inter Milan is serious about signing him, they will need to increase their bid very soon. Atalanta is not willing to settle for less.
