Those mocking Buhari’s death will be buried like stray dogs – Fani-Kayode

Former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode has spoken out strongly against those mocking the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a long post shared on X, Fani-Kayode said only God has the right to judge anyone, not humans.

He said the insults people are posting online after Buhari’s death are very disturbing and disrespectful.

Fani-Kayode explained that it doesn’t matter whether you liked or disliked Buhari—mocking someone after their death is wrong.

He called it shameful and disgraceful for people to joke about someone’s death or dance on their grave, no matter who the person was.

According to him, judgment belongs to God, who decides everyone’s fate after death, not other people.

He also said that many have forgotten that the dead have loved ones who are in pain and trying to stay strong through their loss.

To explain his point, he mentioned how David in the Bible didn’t mock King Saul when he died—even though Saul had been David’s enemy.

Instead, David respected Saul and even punished the man who claimed to have killed him, because Saul had once been chosen by God to lead.

Fani-Kayode reminded people that everyone will die one day and encouraged them to live good lives so they would be remembered like Buhari.

He warned that those mocking Buhari today might die like stray dogs and be forgotten by everyone.

He said their hateful attitude will only destroy them and could lead them to hell.

He ended by saying that all the insults won’t affect Buhari’s legacy. He believes Buhari lived a full life, was loved by many, and completed his journey.

Finally, Fani-Kayode challenged the critics, asking what impact they’ve made in their lives apart from trolling people online and showing bad behavior.
