Inter Milan is interested in signing Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman before the summer transfer window ends. This was reported by the Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport.
Lookman is also being watched by other big clubs like Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid. These clubs are also thinking about signing him.
The Nigerian player returned to Atalanta’s training on Tuesday as they prepare for the new season. But it’s still not clear if he will stay at the club.
Atalanta may agree to let Lookman leave this summer, but they are asking for around €50 million from any team that wants him.
Inter Milan, on the other hand, is only ready to pay €35 million for him. The club sees Lookman as a possible replacement for Mehdi Taremi, who may leave soon. Taremi has caught the attention of Fulham and Besiktas.
Last season, Lookman scored 15 goals and gave 4 assists in 31 matches for Atalanta. His performances were a big help to the team.
He has just one year left on his contract with Atalanta, so the club might prefer to sell him now instead of losing him for free next year.
