Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate during the 2023 general elections, has paid a condolence visit to the family of late former President Muhammadu Buhari. He travelled to Daura, Katsina State, to show his sympathy and offer prayers.
Obi, who is also the former governor of Anambra State, did not make the trip alone. He was accompanied by key political figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai.
Their visit came just a day after the late President was buried at his home in Daura. The show of unity and respect from different political camps drew public attention and was seen as a moment of national solidarity beyond party lines.
