Rotimi Amaechi, who once served as Nigeria’s Minister of Transport, dressed in traditional Northern clothing as he attended the funeral of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The burial ceremony took place on July 15 in Daura, located in Katsina State. Amaechi, who worked closely with Buhari during his time in office, chose to honour him by wearing attire that reflects Northern culture.
Amaechi was part of Buhari’s cabinet and held the position of Minister of Transport throughout his administration.
Photos shared from the funeral show Amaechi participating in the solemn event dressed in traditional Northern wear, joining other dignitaries and guests who came to pay their final respects.
