Manchester City has officially announced that Kolo Toure will now be part of Pep Guardiola’s coaching team permanently.
This news was shared by the club on their website on Tuesday afternoon.
Toure had temporarily worked as an assistant coach during Manchester City’s participation in the FIFA Club World Cup earlier this summer.
Following his good performance, the club has decided to keep him in the role full-time as preparations begin for the upcoming Premier League season.
Kolo Toure, now 44 years old, is a former professional footballer who once played for top English clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City.
Before this recent promotion, he served as the Assistant Lead Coach for Manchester City’s Under-18 team last season.
Working with Lead Coach Oliver Reiss, Toure helped guide the youth team to win the Premier League Under-18 North title.
