Kanye West has finally responded to the serious accusations made by his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. She recently claimed that the rapper sexually assaulted and trafficked her while she worked for him.
On Sunday, July 13, a spokesperson for Kanye’s fashion company, Yeezy, shared a statement with DailyMail, criticizing Pisciotta’s new version of her complaint. They pointed out that this is the fourth version she has submitted.
The Yeezy representative said each version of Pisciotta’s story is different from the others and called the latest one the most shocking and unbelievable so far.
They also questioned whether Pisciotta actually believes her own story, describing her new claims as completely made up. The spokesperson said that her constantly changing versions weaken her case and show that her words can’t be trusted.
The spokesperson made it clear that Kanye and his team are ready to go to court and prove the story false. They believe the jury will not believe Pisciotta and that they will win the case easily.
Another Yeezy representative, Milo Yiannopoulos, also commented on the issue. He criticized Pisciotta for now accusing Kanye of very serious crimes like kidnapping, rape, and sex trafficking.
Yiannopoulos defended Kanye, saying that he is not a violent person, has never been arrested, and doesn’t even own a gun. He suggested that Pisciotta picked the wrong person to accuse.
In response, Pisciotta’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, told DailyMail that the statement from Kanye’s team was slick and meant to hurt Pisciotta’s image. She said it was full of lies and very disrespectful.
Bloom also pointed out that Kanye himself has admitted to doing some of the things Pisciotta accused him of. She said these admissions will help her client win in court, even if Kanye’s publicist ignores them.
The statement from Kanye’s team comes just days after Pisciotta filed a new legal complaint. In it, she described several instances of sexual harassment and assault during her time working for him.
She claimed that during a work trip to San Francisco not long after she started working with Kanye in July 2021, he forced her to perform oral sex on him.
Pisciotta also said that Kanye kept trying to kiss her, even though she told him several times that it was not okay and was unprofessional.
One of the main events in her complaint involved a night after a writing session for Kanye’s album Donda. She said Kanye invited her to his hotel room to talk about the project, but when she arrived, he laid in bed and asked her to sit beside him.
She said she sat next to him reluctantly, and Kanye began complimenting her work and talked about helping her career. But the conversation quickly turned uncomfortable when he started describing a model’s private parts and sexual experiences with other women.
Pisciotta said Kanye again tried to kiss her, but she continued to push him away. He then began asking inappropriate questions about her body, including if he could touch her.
She claimed that he then touched her inappropriately while also rubbing himself. She told him to stop, and he soon fell asleep in the middle of talking. That’s when she left the room.
